Criticisms and press

"We will continue thinking about how they are able to make us laugh at the tragedy we are contemplating, that mineral loneliness that runs through the beautiful story. And in their mastery to make us feel better when we see their work. We are purified with their art and their sweet denunciation shown with the poetics of the flight of the botfly" Artez Magazine.

"The situations in which their characters are involved move us, the mistakes they make are familiar to us, their destiny concerns us. The actors, masked, are all three extraordinary: sometimes we try to guess who is playing who, but it doesn't matter. The fundamental thing is the rhythm that they give to the function and the emotional thickness of their efforts... A crystalline sensitivity runs through the entire function", El País.

"A silence is better than a thousand words in this bittersweet comedy about the ravages of loneliness. In front of the theater of blah, blah, blah, the eloquence of the gesture. A warm, long, heartfelt applause crowned the payment function prior to the premiere in Madrid of Solitudes, second silent show by Kulunka Teatro.” El País.

"Kulunka Teatro' has done it again with 'Solitudes', giving us a work of art impregnated with the same sensitivity and poetry as the first of his works, but with one more twist; a more elaborate montage and staging more complex, many more characters and with different profiles, and more locations where the story takes place. In 'Solitudes', Iñaki Rikarte moves the three actors - and their multiple masks - in a sublime way over eighty minutes, with a choreography perfectly meticulous and adjusted to the masterful score of Luis Miguel Cobo, author of AN AUTHENTIC JEWEL." EL TEATRERO.COM

"Solitudes tells us about our needs as social animals, about loss, about bad decisions, about our priorities... about life itself. And, again, the three actors who give life to all the characters move us deeply without say a single word. José Dault, Garbiñe Insausti and Edu Cárcamo delight us with their delicate and exemplary work. Their expressiveness is truly marvelous."devoim.net

"Solitudes speaks very seriously, making the spectator laugh and smile. It is pure sensitivity and stings in the throat" Volodia.es.

"Achieving the impossible and making us feel complicit in the adventure is one of the fantastic features of the Kulunka Theater Company: masks of fixed expression that, however, evolve with astonishing expressiveness, guided by a gestural theater technique that does not lose detail and that from every movement, however small it may seem, a feeling, a joke, a tragedy springs forth." Culturamas.es

"When José Dault, Garbiñe Insausti and Edu Cárcamo take off their masks and give us their excited smiles, we stand up, we applaud, we applaud: not only for how great creators they are, but for their generous way of producing such a complete theater that is capable of offering a moral lesson without being pedantic, of facing the shortcomings that we suffer in a way of life contrary to reason, without climbing any pulpit, from heart to heart." culturamas.es

“LOVE AND FORGETTING. The Kulunka boys take the audience from one emotional extreme to the other: from hilarious laughter to a lump in the throat. "It's been a while since I felt such a shaking." THE COUNTRY

“Unless you're bringing a baby into the world on Saturday night, go see this show. If not, go see it on Sunday” Stage and Cinema. The Angels.
“ANDRÉ AND DORINE: A LESSON ON THEATER AND LIFE.” Modernícolas Cultural Magazine.

“I don't know to what wonderful theatrical genre 'André and Dorine' belongs - perhaps it is a silent tragicomedy of masks - but I do know that it provokes the authentic emotion of a masterpiece.” Diary: La Rioja

"...André and Dorine is a story about Alzheimer's, but above all it is a story about overcoming, struggle and love." Modernícolas Cultural Magazine

“André & Dorine is tenderness, emotion, wound and song. “A pleasure that seemed lost and has been recovered.” Newspaper: Malaga Today.

“ANDRÉ and DORINE: The precise language of masks and the heart.” Malaga Today Newspaper.

“…The staging is full of poetry, beautiful compositions, endearing moments and delicious comedy” Modernícolas Cultural Magazine
